The Major Oak Woodland Festival in the heart of Sherwood Forest is a celebration of woodland and trees.

Demonstrations and displays throughout the weekend. You will see traditional and modern management techniques that have shaped the Sherwood Forest we love today.

2017 is the 800th Anniversary of the first forest charter in 1217. The new charter will celebrate and protect our rights to the benefits of trees and wood.
